The San Saba County Commissioners Court met Monday, February 24th, to discuss the county business.
At the beginning of each meeting, after the prayer asking for God's guidance and pledges to the American and Texas flags, there is a time for anyone who wishes to speak: Audience for Concerned Citizens.
Commissioner Greg Mc-Gregor noted there is a nonfunctional door on the first floor, and he is researching options.
Emergency Management Coordinator Marsha Hardy informed the court that MidCoast Clinic in San Saba is no longer open. This is where the Sheriff's Office would take inmates. They are searching out other options.
Special Action Items:
The agenda item of Precinct 2 and Precinct 4 purchasing equipment from Forrest McGregor was removed from the Agenda. Commissioner Greg McGregor abstained from this vote.
The Court approved the Enrollment of Cybersecurity Annual Training. This is a legislative requirement for all who have County email addresses, and it is a cost of $5 each to the County.
Burn Ban: The Commissioners agreed a Burn Ban is not needed yet. However, they did say that those who need to burn may want to go ahead and do it soon.
Four line-items transfers presented by County Treasurer Lois VanBeck were approved as was Accounts Payable.
The next Commissioners Court dates are scheduled for March 10, 2025, and March 24, 2025, both at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom on the second floor of the Courthouse. The public is welcome and invited to attend.
