Mother’s Day was a wonderful day; the weather was just about perfect. It was a good day to be outside to enjoy the day!

Lanell Danials reported that her daughter and her husband, Tammy and Eddie Johnson, came over and cooked bar-b-q, and they enjoyed watermelon as a desert. She reported the meal was outstanding.

Bobbie Morris had a wonderful day with her family. Her daughters, Amanda and Deidra Nixon; grandsons, Sean and Ethan; along with Phillip enjoyed the day.

Phillip reported that Sunday is the last day of Spring turkey season, and the only thing left to hunt till September 1st are squirrels and hogs. And if you have a rifle in your car or truck, you better have a hunting license.

Pat and Bonnie celebrated Mother’s Day without their son and his family, but grandson, Henry Millican, sent a drawing to them to put in their front window. It is a rainbow, and a caption under it says, “We Can Do This!” Bonnie reported it was hard not being able to see the grandkids, Jack and Henry. She reported they seem to be handling sheltering in place pretty well and have been pretty adaptable.

Jerry Reavis has been released from the hospital and is in a nursing home in Lampasas. However, he is under a 14-day quarantine, common practice when someone shifts facilities. He will be closer to Charlene, so she can see him from time to time. All the nursing homes are not letting anyone, and that includes family members, enter the facilities because of the pandemic, and it is making it hard on everyone. Keep them on your prayer list.

Phil B. and Winnie Lou Mc-Coury, along with Pete Henniger and Earl Ray Sutton, are still going through some rough times with their health issues, and they need your prayers.

Happy Birthday greetings go out to Bill Ennis, who will celebrate a birthday May 15; to Lesa Preece and Peggy Henniger, who will celebrate a birthday May 17; and to Dr. Marylyn Brister, Donna Streun and Bobby Staling, who will be celebrating a birthday May 20, 2020.
