On Saturday March 16th, I plan to attend a Conference at the Praise Cathedral in Ravenswood, West Virginia, a two hour drive from where I live in Zanesville, Ohio. The Pastor, Jeff Moales, has been a speaker at The Fathers House. Pastor Jeff and his wife Jackie have been a support and help to me since I moved to Ohio from San Saba in May, 2021.
My companion cat Dinah spends hours watching the birds at the suet block, hanging feeder and seed on the ground. This morning a squirrel and chipmunk had her undivided attention. It was 11:15, and Dinah came complaining because they are gone. I told her that is part of life to supply food, a home, clothing, family and depend on God for guidance and help. Well, that explanation was helpful because 'Chippy' is back eating seed on the ground, and Dinah is happy again.
••••• After a couple of hours in jail, the arresting officer released a women and gives her back her personal effects and says, “I'm very sorry for the mistake, ma'am. I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn and using ugly gestures and foul language. I noticed the 'What would Jesus do?' bumper sticker, the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the 'Follow me to Sunday School' window sign and the peace emblem on your trunk, so I naturally assumed you had stolen the car.” Obviously he was following a Christian who wasn't doing a very good job at following Christ.
