Alice in Wonder Land

I am in the process of putting away summer clothes and getting out the winter clothes. There are clothes that I never wore, and here I am packing them away again. There are books that I haven't read, and there I go buying more books. OK, I will sort my clothes and give them to Goodwill, but when I sort through my books I won't be able to remember the ones I have read. Last year I read a book and didn't realize I had read it until the last chapter.

As I am planning on going to be with my son-in-law's family for Thanksgiving in Newark, Ohio, this year, I am remembering the many Thanksgivings when I lived in San Saba. The years I helped organize the FREE Thanksgiving Meal is a wonderful memory. It was the whole community that made this possible with over 70 volunteers cookin', servin', bakin', deliverin', preparin', givin', and prayin'.!

My neighbor here in Zanesville and I saw the movie Journey to Bethlehem and loved it! It is a musical, and the couple that play Mary and Joseph are delightful!

Seeing this prepares me to celebrate the birth of Jesus. I can do this anytime I want to and not just on December 25th.

There is a song we sang at church, Heaven Is My Throne, that speaks to my heart. The men sang: Heaven is My throne and earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for Me? Whom of you will hear the cry of My heart? Where will My resting place be? Women sang: Here, O Lord have I prepared for You a home. Long have I desired for You to dwell. Here, O Lord have I prepared a resting place. Here, O Lord, I wait for You alone.

By the Power of The Holy Spirit, God's resting place is our heart. John 14: 1-4 NKJV. Jesus spoke: “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
