The weather in Zanesville, Ohio, where I live on Monday, November 6th, is low 35 degrees and high 64, mostly cloudy and breezy; in San Saba, Texas, is low 61 and high 83, mostly sunny; San Fernando, Mexico, mostly sunny; low 64 and high 88. I do this comparison of weather because I lived in San Saba from 2006 to 2021, and my husband Larry made his first mission trip to Mexico in I believe l986 or 87. He was overwhelmed at the physical, spiritual and financial need. He sat down on a rock in Mexico and cried out to God that he didn't have enough money for them. God answered and said 'if you had the money they wouldn't depend on Me'.

I had a wonderful surprise visit from Jackie Moales. Her husband Jeff pastors a church in West Virginia, and they are dear friends of many years. They supported the mission work in Mexico, speaker at The Fathers House and a church in Alvarado. I rode with them to Texas last year, and other years Larry and I would go with them to Alvarado. Jackie and I had a lot to share about our families, going over music, singing as she played my keyboard and we watched the movie I Can Only Imagine. Her visit brought me joy, and I am blessed with her friendship.

The Apostle Paul wrote the book Philippians during his first Roman imprisonment about A.D. 61. The theme is Joy in Christ. New King James Version Philippians 4:4-7.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
