Alice in Wonder Land

It is a beautiful morning here in Zanesville, Ohio, on September 11th, with a sunny day with temps from 67-79. Many of us remember the tragedy of this day years ago. The flag by the building where we get our mail here at the condos is at half mast. This afternoon, my friend Susan and I will go to Granville, Ohio, where my daughter Jenny will go on a nine-mile run commemorating this day. We will take pictures and see her off and then go shopping and eat.

I had a wonderful phone visit withAudrey yesterday. We have a lot to share and wonderful memories. We could not remember the year my husband Larry enclosed their porch. It has many windows because Charlie andAudrey liked sitting on the porch to watch deer.

During the ladies meeting Saturday, September 7th, at Northgate Church Dresden, Pastor Melody talked about Angels. She asked the group how many had seen Angels. I saw a huge angel at the entrance of the church in Glenford, Ohio, where Larry pastored. Victor Maldonado saw an angel turn my husband Larry around so he landed on his feet falling from a truckload of firewood.

Skeptics ask “where were the angels when they were needed on September 11th?” Oh they were there with the EMS and firefighters helping and comforting others. Many people may have called out to God with their last breath. The attack was 'suddenly.' Are we ready for the 'suddenly's in our lives? A list of suddenly's are: loss of a job, loss of a loved one, loss of health, loss of a friendship, loss of a home, etc. The Epistle of Paul the Apostle wrote the Philippians book in the Bible during his first Roman imprisonment, about A.D. 61. The Living Bible – Philippians 4:8.....And now, brothers, as I close this letter let me say this one more thing: Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.
