Alice in Wonder Land

Phone calls come from Texas just when I need a dear friend to talk to. Last week, Connie called me, and we shared our past, present and future. Oh what a blessing from God! On Sunday, August 20th, I got in the trunk of my car and lifted the flooring to check my spare tire. I was surprised to find a metal name tag that read: Karen Whiting, Singing Women of Texas West Central Chapter. Evidently it has been there before the pandemic – probably 2019 or early 2020.

Karen probably replaced it years ago and wondered where it was. Seeing the name tag brought back memories of singing with this group of wonderful women.

My house plants needed adjustments of new soil and larger flower pots. I could not go to sleep Sunday night, August 20th, thinking about them so I got up and put them in larger flower pots with PROMIX, a premium potting mix. I need to make adjustments in my life since my faithful Labrador companion Ellie died July 31st. This is the first time in my 82 years of life I have lived alone. The Apostle Paul wrote Ephesians, the book in the Bible, while he was in prison. He had ministered in Ephesus for over two years. Verses 15 through 19 in Ephesians 15th chapter will help me adjust and walk in wisdom.....NKJ....See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.
