Last week when I opened my door to let my chocolate Lab, Ellie, onto my enclosed porch here in Zanesville, Ohio, I saw a small snake about 12 inches long on the porch. I stomped on it and will now be aware that its Momma might come looking for it.
When my husband, Larry, and I moved from 9th Street in San Saba to about 1-2 miles on Rte l6 from town in 2009 or 2010, I took a picture of Larry pulling a snake from our toilet. That was the night before he went on a trip to Mexico.
While he was in Mexico, I found a toad (or frog) in that toilet and called the Van Gorps for help. They came to my rescue, and with a flush, Don took care of it.
Audrey Lowe and I do a lot of mostly texting since I moved to Ohio after Larry died.Audrey and her husband, Charlie, attended our church, Abundant Life Ministries, and supported the mission work in Mexico. I miss the times whenAudrey would come to town and stop and have coffee and a visit with me. We have a special bond since Charlie died last year.
Oh my! I am looking out my door and see the weather changed from the 70's yesterday to the 40's right now with a hail storm the size of rice. We are having a rice storm!
Jesus taught multitudes about who are blessed in Matthew 5:311, called the 9 Beatitudes. The Webster's Students Dictionary describes beatitude: 1. Supreme bliss or happiness; blessedness. 2. Any of the declarations (the Beatitudes) made by Christ in the Sermon on the Mount beginning 'Blessed are'....I am blessed every day by God's Mercy and Grace as I am aware of the conditions in this world and snakes. One of the reasons I don't like snakes is that Satan used a snake to deceive Eve andAdam to be against God's plan for them that effects all of us today.
