My chocolate Labrador, Ellie, is on the porch observing people working at the condo for sale on the hill across from where we live in Zanesville, Ohio. This is such a good location that when condos are for sale they sell quick. When my condo was for sale, it had two offers, including mine, the first day. No 'For Sale' signs are allowed on the property, only a sign in the window. For my condo, the sign could not be seen from the road. I am thankful that my son-in-law, Bill, saw it online while on a plane returning to Ohio from visiting me in San Saba. So, I believe this is where God wanted me to spend the rest of the days of my life.

I talked to Tim Uli about my computer virus and he just got home from being with his wife, Debbie, in the hospital in Marble Falls. She had shoulder surgery, low sodium, seizures, and her heart stopped. Thank God, she is stable and was able to text friends. As I read the loving and caring responses, it brought tears and wonderful memories of our friendship.

I got a pamphlet at church Sunday from the Center for Christian Virtue listing information about the Ohio U.S. Senate and Ohio Governor up for election. This will be helpful for when I vote next month.

The story is told about two boys who were playing together. They had been reading about the animal sacrifices in the Old Testament. In their little game, they built a small altar of stones and placed some wood upon it.

When the altar was finished, one boy turned to the other and said, “Now we must find a sacrifice.” The other little boy looked at his toys. His eyes fell on a wooden camel with one of the legs broken off. Picking it up, he said, “Here, let's sacrifice this! It's no good anyhow.”

How many times we Christians are just like the little boy with the camel—give God something not worth anything. Give God your life and it is worth everything!
