PFC James Carlisle, youngest son of Margaret and Spencer Carlisle of San Saba, has completed his basic training for the United States Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) at San Diego, California. He graduated on October 22, and is home on a 10-day leave before he will report to Camp Pendleton (SOI) for Infantry Training. Following a nine-week course of training, he will be assigned his first duty station. The 18 year old is a 2021 graduate of Richland Springs High School.
