Waco, Texas — Officers from San Saba Masonic Lodge #612 traveled to Waco on Saturday, January 17, to attend the 190th Communication of the Grand Lodge of Texas, an annual gathering that brings together Freemasons from across the state.
The Grand Lodge Communication is held each year during the third week of January and serves as the governing body’s official business meeting. Dur-ing the session, delegates from more than 900 Masonic lodges statewide convene to address matters that shape the direction of Texas Freemasonry.
Key items on the agenda included the election of new Grand Lodge officers for the 2026 Masonic year, as well as voting on proposed amendments to Masonic rules and regulations. These propositions help guide lodge operations and maintain consistency in Masonic practices throughout Texas.
Attendance at this year’s Communication exceeded 3,000 Masons, reflecting the continued strength and engagement of the fraternity statewide. The event also provided opportunities for fellowship, discussion, and collaboration among members representing communities both large and small.
