I had an exciting week. School is going reasonably well for the first week, but things went South on Wednesday evening.
Chrissy and I celebrated her birthday by going for a mani/ Pedi, but I started feeling ill. Midway through the beauty treatment I realized I was feverish. As soon as we were done, I told Chrissy I needed to get home. Sure enough, I had a fever of 103.4. I did all my homeopathic stuff and headed for bed. By morning, I was not doing better, but I delayed. By five, I knew it would have to be the ER room at Marble Falls. Since then, I have been at home in bed taking the meds they gave me and trying to get back on my feet. It seems I had at least four things wrong with me including a hernia. I had nothing transmittable, but four days later, I am still down for the count.
I have a full calendar next week, and most of September, since it’s time for some football! Please don’t forget the RSPS luncheon on Sunday, August the 24th. Meet the Coyotes is the September 4th ,at 7:00 p.m. on the field. The first home game is September 5th, against May. The first Fifth Quarter meal will be held after the game at the First Baptist Church compliments of the First Baptist and Shiloh Churches. Varsity cheerleaders will be selling tattoos every game day starting August 28th for 50 cents. Junior High girls are also running a fundraiser. Let’s support our Coyote athletes. The Coyote Wagon will have new gear to tempt you to add to your Coyote collection.
The quilting ladies had a sew day on Monday. Typically, the ladies pack up their most recent sewing projects, a lunch dish and questions and head for the fellowship hall at the Baptist Church. It’s a full day of laughs, fellowship, learning and sisterhood help. This group of ladies comes from all over the county. They don’t all attend the same church, but they all love to quilt and offer prayer, assistance, and love. Anyone is welcome to attend each Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. You don’t even have to quilt.
Please don’t forget the RSPS luncheon on Sunday, August the 24th. The community has been so good to bring a dish then come back to share it around noon. I’m humbled each time we hold one of these potluck luncheons. Everyone stops for a brief minute to eat and greet. Some of us don’t get out much so this is a time to check up on friends and neighbors. We continue to replace old windows and frames to make sure the bank building is weatherproof. The new roof is holding up well. Thank you to all who continue to support the Preservation Society.
Please pray for our sick and those who have recently passed. Samantha Garcia and Marion Otto are fighting cancer and need payers. If you know of a neighbor who needs help, please check on them to make sure they are safe. Pray for our country, world peace, our government and stability in our country. Our police officers are under attack and need our support. Most of all, pray for our precious troops and their families.
