Lenny's Life Lessons

Merry Christmas my dearest San Saba loves!! Well, let me back- up a moment…I hope you had the best Thanksgiving and enjoyed wonderful food, family and friends! Mom and I had an amazing holiday as our Shawn drove from Houston to stay with us! Oh my very goodness…he had to wear my love for him like a dachshund coat because that is how close I stuck to him! We had such a great time!

Mom put up our tiny Christmas tree because, well, we have a tiny family…just me and her. Want to know something though? Having a small family has nothing to do with the amount of love a home contains. Our house is filled to the brim with love and I think anyone who walks in the door feels it right away! Did you know even if a person is alone for a holiday, they can fill the season with so much love they can feel like they have an entire army with them! People wait for holidays to turn on the magic but as a dachshund, I think they should take lessons from dogs and make every single day a magical holiday!

I have had to stay closer to ever to mom. She began to have back pain so severe, so debilitating it completely changed her life and brought her close to tears. I had never seen mom in so much trouble, or so broken. As it turned out, she has a spinal fracture and our lives have changed forever, but we are learning to live with it.

I hope each and every one of you know we love you, we think about you, wish you such good things, and have such high hopes for you in the approaching New Year! All my love… Lenny
