Lenny's Life Lessons

Hello, my precious loves. Mom and I took some time away to contemplate life, loss and the meaning of it all. We lost a very dear family member, mom’s young niece, Jessica, after an arduous battle withALS. I had the great pleasure of meeting Jessica when mom and I lived in Houston before her disease took over her life completely. She rescued dogs from the streets of Houston so to say she gave me a loving welcome is an understatement! Our lives were blessed to have been a part of hers!

My battle with the neighborhood cats continues, and I am pretty sure they have put a contract out on me for my demise! I was sitting on the back of the couch, poised for my neighborhood cat watching, when a strange dog came up to the porch and began barking at me as if he wanted me for dinner! I am quite sure a cat was waiting behind a tree with a steak to pay him!! I suppose I should explain my aversion to cats. When I was alone and running the streets of Georgia, searching for food, it was cats who posed the most danger to me! They were like razor blades slashing at me! I am sure there are very sweet cats, I just haven’t met them yet.

I think mom has finally finished turning our new home into the place we adore living. It is so much fun watching her add little touches to make it ours, a rug here, a coffee table there. I smile at her and tell her it feels more snuggly with every touch!

We love you, dear San Saba friends, and apologize for our silence. Know that we think of you always, want the very best for you and hold very close in our hearts!

Love, Lenny
