Mrs. Alice Sloan of San Saba, who has been visiting her brother, W. T. Henderson, of near Alpine, and relatives at San Angelo and Ozona, returned home one day of the past week. Her nieces, Miss Moselle Henderson and Mrs. Alice Duff, brought her as far as Sloan Sister's home.
The Lampasas Badgers continued their undefeated drive toward championship of District 32-A by crushing the San Saba Armadillos 13-0.
Miss Glendean Gates finished high school at Richland Springs and entered Nixon Clay Business College. She is the most highly honored student of Nixon Clay Business College in Austin. She is now employed with the Citizen National Bank of Austin. She is the daughter of Mrs. Will Ponton of San Saba.
Mr. and Mrs. Hulan McIntosh, managers of the Dooley Variety Store, were the first ones here to decorate their place of business for the holiday season.
Miss Nadaline Scott was home from Killeen last weekend. She is a waitress in a cafe there.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lange of Cold Creek were here Monday.
In observance of her 10th birthday, Patricia Ann Ward was honored with a party at her home when her mother, Mrs. Lester Ward, was hostess to a group of her friends.
Supt. W. M. Campbell and members of the public school faculty will be in charge of rationing of gasoline over the weekend with registration to take place in the high school gym from all San Sabans and persons living in other communities served by town and school. Car owners will be registered by alphabetical arrangement, with A through J Thursday, K through Z Friday, and for any others who missed registration to appear on Saturday morning at the gym.

Mr. and Mrs. Steven Mc-Coury of San Saba are the parents of a boy, Waylon Ross, born Nov. 2 in Rollins-Brook Hospital. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 11 1/2 ounces. The mother is the former Karen Ellis. This is the couple's first child.
The drum major of the San Saba High School Band, Tina Harvell, was honored at the San Saba-Bangs football game as the Outstanding Band Student of the Week. Miss Harvell is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Ray Harvell.
Mrs. Maude Crockett celebrated her 91st birthday in the home of her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Smith, with her other children present, Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Crockett and Clell Crockett. She was 91 years old on Nov. 1.
Running back John Henry raked in four touchdowns with the help of the offensive line to win over Bangs 27-0. Henry, a senior at San Saba High, was chosen as 'Mr. Spirit' by students of the school.
Melody Lewis, San Saba County 4-H Gold Star girl and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lewis of Richland Springs, and Kenny Alexander, San Saba 4-H Gold Star boy of Cherokee were honored among 33 award winners at the District 8 4-H Gold Star Awards Banquet in Clifton.
San Saba's newest restaurant had a tremendous attendance for their grand opening. Mark Scott and his musicians played for the dance held in the patio. Kay Capshaw and Joe Wilson are owners of Capshaw Cattle Company, a place to enjoy dinner and dancing at the finest.
