The Commissioners’ Court meeting on September 26th was opened in prayer and the pledges to the American and Texas flags.
Before the agenda items, Commissioner McGregor informed the Court about a bridge in Cherokee that needs some repair.
Items approved by the Court:
• Resolution for 2024 Indigent Defense Grant Program
• San Saba City Inter Local F/Y 2023 2024 with San Saba County for Flood Plain Management, Dispatcher Services, Emergency Management, and Justice of the Peace.
• Three line-item amendments as presented by Ms. Lois VanBeck, County Treasurer
• Accounts Payable The Burn Ban was tabled; not enough rain yet.
The Commissioners’ Court meetings for October were scheduled as follows: October 16th and October 30th, both at 9 a.m.
Commissioners’ Court meetings are open to the public, and anyone interested in what your elected officials are doing on your behalf is encouraged to attend.
Minutes from the earlier two meetings in September will be available in the San Saba News & Star after they are approved by the Commissioners’ Court.
