I started putting drops in my right eye today in preparation for when I have cataract surgery Thursday. I had a cataract removed from my left eye in Texas two and a half years ago. The doctor that performed my surgery in Texas prayed before the surgery. I will need to pray for the doctor before surgery here in Ohio.
There are a lot of activities planned and something for everyone during December. I plan to go caroling in my condo area; meet my classmates for lunch in Dresden and then Bible Study here at the condos; attend the Messiah cantata here in Zanesville, Ohio; a Christmas party at the condo community building; Windows Group meeting; be at my daughters after church on Christmas; and a trip to Tennessee to bring in the New Year with my granddaughters' family. I will be sending out Christmas greetings near and far.
A belated birthday greeting to Butch Webb! He has distributed the San Saba News & Star for many years along with his sweet little dog.
I want to acknowledge a new column in this paper, Simple Truths, Pastor Welton Watson. If my column, Alice in Wonder Land, was printed beside yours, we would be neighbors again :). Oh yes, Welton and his wife were wonderful neighbors when we lived on Ninth Street in San Saba.
