The Elm Grove Volunteer Fire Department will be able to buy a new brush fire truck with the help of a community development grant. LCRA and Sharyland Utilities provided the $25,000 grant to help buy the truck for the fire department, which needs a brush truck to help volunteers fight wildfires on the area’s rugged terrain. The new truck will replace the department’s unreliable 25-yearold brush truck.
