Body

Because the members of San Saba High School graduating class of 2020 were not able to participate in the last few months of school and missing out on so much of their senior year, we as a community wanted to gift them something to let them know that they were appreciated. And even though we could not make it go away, we could let them know we were behind them 100 percent. So we went to work collecting money and gifts to put in a laundry basket to give to them. It was a project made possible by cash donations from business and individuals who were more than gracious with their donations. We were able to raise $10,585 in gifts and cash. We were able to give them: dishes, tumblers, towels, wash cloths, first aid kits, tool box full of tools, laundry hampers, water bottles, trash bags, storage containers, sunglasses, koozies, manicure/ pedicure sets, hangers, bath & body sets, shaving sets & a flashlight. The baskets were presented to each senior at the annual Senior Breakfast before graduation. The graduates were excited and grateful for their gifts.

Items donated to put in baskets by: Pecan Valley Hardware, Central Texas Farm Credit, Prynt Shop, Capital Farm Credit, Cuttin Up Salon & Barber Shop, Bill’s Seasoning Company and Alamo Pecan and Coffee.
