Chief Chad Ashworth has contacted local game wardens and has organized three days for students/adults to obtain the required hunter safety course. Richland Springs ISD would like to thank the San Saba County game warden Mason Murr, for presenting a ‘hunter’s education’ program to 10 students this past Monday. There will be two more hunter’s safety courses for the next two consecutive Mondays for students who need the required course.

The junior high football team looked impressive in their second game again last week. The junior high team should have a successful year if the first two games are any indicator of success. The junior high football team trounced Darrouzett by a score of 39-7. The junior high is now 2-0 on the year. The junior high Coyotes host Baird at Coyote Field this Thursday beginning at 6:00 p.m. The varsity Coyotes moved to 2-0 on the season with a 56-7 win over the Darrouzett Longhorns team last Friday night at Guthrie Field. The varsity Coyotes host Fort Worth Covenant Classical at Coyote Field this Friday at 7:00 p.m.

COVID case updates from Marsha Hardy, Emergency Management Coordinator for San Saba County, reveal only 7 active cases in San Saba County. With each update to schools, Marsha Hardy includes this message: “Simply: wash your hands, wear your mask, pay attention to your surroundings and, mostly, be kind!” We are fortunate to be in Richland Springs!

We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It looks to be a great year at Richland Springs.

Community involvement is the key to our success!
