Richard Lee Dawson

Richard Dawson, age 68, of San Saba, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020, at home surrounded by his family in San Saba, Texas. Richard was born on March 31, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Jack and Wanda (May) Dawson.

Richard made his living as a truck driver. He married Katey (Jones) on July 1, 1973 in San Saba, Texas. He owned his truck and made many trips all over the United States. In his time off the road, Richard enjoyed the small farm that he and Katey built together with the stock pond full of fish and plenty of deer to hunt

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Katey Dawson; one daughter, Misty Paradez; two grandchildren: Madison and Macie; one brother, John Dawson; one brother-in-law, Eddie Jones; and one sister-in-law, Karen Edmondson and husband, Jimmy.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; a set of twin girls; and one sister, Marie Annette Morgan.

A graveside service was held Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Harmony Ridge Cemetery in San Saba, Texas. Services were under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba, Texas.
