Johnnie Gatliff Perkins age 77, of Goldthwaite, Texas, passed away January 3, 2021, in Goldthwaite, Texas. Johnnie was born on November 27, 1943, in San Saba, Texas, to Ruben James Gatliff and Lou Pearl (Tinney). She attended school in San Saba and later attended Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas, were she obtained an associate’s degree in nursing. Johnnie was a Registered Nurse and a longtime caregiver for many as she worked in hospitals and long-term care facilities as The Director of Nursing and a Corporate Consultant. Johnnie was a member of Coryell Community Church in Gatesville, Texas, and Fellowship Baptist Church in Goldthwaite, Texas.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters: Selena and husband Tim Higginbotham of Goldthwaite, Texas, and Shirl Rae and husband Lee Shineldecker of Lometa, Texas; grandchildren: Jason Higginbotham, Jennifer Harland, and Jonathon Wills; great-grandchildren; Jayme Wills, Garren Higginbotham, Wesley Heilbronner, Junior, and Jessie Wills; two brothers: Wayne Gatliff and Gary Gatliff; one sister, Brenda Dawson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, W.L. Perkins; and sister, Shirley Meischen.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at San Saba Cemetery in San Saba, Texas, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Beck and Jarrod Beck officiating. Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba in charge of arrangements.
