Each year the Garden Club (SSGC) holds fundraisers to enlist community support of worthwhile projects. Most recently these have included San Saba High School scholarships, San Saba Elementary School garden, community gardens at the Senior Center and local nursing home, and charitable donations to local organizations based on need.

For the last three years, the Club has sold pumpkins as a major fundraiser, and members wish to thank area residents and businesses for their generous support. You play a vital role in helping SSGC continue its community outreach.

This year, in lieu of pumpkins, SSGC will be selling decorative porch signs hand painted on reclaimed rustic barn wood. The signs are various sizes, 4’ x 1’ and larger. Shoppers can choose from several different designs in a variety of themes: flags (U.S. and Texas), holidays (Halloween and Christmas), and seasons (spring and autumn).

Tax-deductible donations start at $50, payable by cash or check made out to San Saba Garden Club.

These colorful and artfully rendered signs will be on display and for sale at San Saba Pecan Trade Days the first Saturdays of October and November, subject to availability. Payment must be made at time of purchase.

¬¬¬SSGC urges everyone to attend the first Trade Days in October and make a purchase while the selection is best.

Meetings are generally held the first Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. at the SSGC clubhouse in Mill Pond Park.
