Dear Editor,

In one month, San Saba County and Baylor Scott & White will hold the 2020 Fourth Quarter Blood Drive. As we are all aware, by now, COVID-19 has turned this year a little sideways so that even our blood drives have a little twist to them! On Tuesday, October 20th, from 12 noon until 6 p.m., there will be a blood mobile unit located at the First Baptist Church at 208 W. Wallace in San Saba, Texas. Now comes the twist...to donate you need to make an appointment by calling the BSW Blood Center at 254-724-4376 or go to BSWBlood.com and click on Schedule Appointment and look for 10-20-20 and San Saba FBC. [If you can't find 10-20-20, wait a couple of days and try again!]

All blood donors in October will receive: Free limited-edition neck tubular/headband and COVID antibody testing [results sent upon request]. Remember that a Photo ID is REQUIRED to donate. For your safety, appointments are STRONGLY recommended, and masks are required to be worn during appointment.
