Mason County Republicans will be hosting two events in October. On Wednesday, October 7, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Lieutenant Colonel August Pfluger, Republican nominee for US Congress, will be at Art General Store, on Highway 29 East of Mason, for a meet and greet and town hall. The public is invited to come and visit with Lieutenant Colonel Pfluger and ask their questions.

On Tuesday, October 13, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., will be a Meet the Candidate and Get Out the Vote Event at River of Life Gym, 217 East College in Mason. Several Republican nominees will be present for the voters to meet and listen to their views on a variety of topics.

Those who have confirmed attendance will be Lani Popp, candidate for State Board of Education; Renee Yanta, candidate for Chief Justice for Fourth Court of Criminal Appeals; Judge Bert Richardson, candidate Place 3 Texas Court of Criminal Appeals; Rebekah Whitworth, candidate for Mason County Attorney; and Joe Lancaster, candidate for Mason County Sheriff.

It is more important than ever to know who is on the ballot. These two events provide an opportunity for voters to get to know the candidates. For those who are concerned, social distancing rules will be observed at both events.

Early voting begins Tuesday, October 13. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
