Armadillos Fall 48-35

The San Saba Armadillos traveled to W. A. Lewis Field in Santo last Friday night to tangle with the Wildcats. The Armadillos fell behind by 20 in the first half and battled back to take a lead in the 4th quarter before falling 48-35.

Deah Payton Lemmon, 15, of Ackerman, MS and the current Miss North Mississippi Teen USA will compete for the title of MISS MISSISSIPPI Teen USA 2014 on October 31st, November 1st & 2nd, 2013 at the Harrah’s Casino Event Center.

Junior Coyotes power past Panthers of Abilene Christian 53-0

Richland Springs Junior High improved their record to 3-1 with a halftime mercy rule victory over the Abilene Christian JH Panthers last Thursday night in Rising Star. While Abilene Christian Schools has a very strong football  rogram, it was apparent very early in the game, the Panthers were no match for the healthy-again Coyote Junior High squad.

San Saba Cross Country News

The High School Cross Country Team traveled to Round Rock last Saturday morning to run in the McNeil Invitational. This is the largest meet in the State of Texas and the site of the UIL State Meet. Our kids were able to get a feel for the new layout of the course and made a very impressive showing against the bigger schools.

The High School and Junior High Cross Country Teams went to Brownwood last Saturday morning to run in the Brownwood Invitational. Our kids made a very impressive showing against the bigger schools and dominated the smaller schools.

Richland Springs Junior High Defeats Gustine JH 52-6 - Richland Springs Junior High improved to 2-0 on the season and remain undefeated. They host a tough Austin Hill Country team this Thursday at Coyote Field.

San Saba High School Class of 1963

San Saba High School Class of 1963 met September 13-14, 2013 to celebrate their 50th Reunion. Thirty-one class members and their spouses and friends enjoyed a weekend of fun attending the exciting San Saba vs. Ballinger football game as well as the Pecan Capital Street Dance IX. The meeting room of Commercial National Bank was the scene of visiting with old friends and enjoying meals both Friday evening and Saturday.
