Lady Dillo Basketball Report

The Lady Dillos traveled to Rochelle last Tuesday night to play a very solid Lady Hornet team. We were in control for the majority of the 32 minutes of play; we were just never able to deliver the knockout punch and pull away. We didn’t have one of our better shooting nights, but I was very proud of our defensive play

Armadillo Basketball Report

We kicked off the 2013-2014 basketball season on Nov. 19, when we hosted the Johnson City Eagles. We started the game off on a good note and jumped out to a 14-2 first quarter lead. Our press defense was very effective early in the game. In the second quarter we kind of cooled off and we got a little tired because we were not in good enough shape yet for our press to be effective for that long, and Johnson City came back and outscored the Dillos 17-6 and we went in at halftime up 20-19

San Saba Area Homeschool Group participated in Operation Christmas Child

San Saba Area Homeschool Group participated in Operation Christmas Child sponsored by the Samaritans Purse. We packed shoeboxes full of goodies for impoverished kids throughout the world. Some of the goodies  included a soccer ball, stuffed animals, bible story books, card games, pencils, toothbrushes, and chapstick. This is an effort to provide kids with Christmas gifts who wouldn’t normally receive a gift and get to them
the word of God. Pictured (l to r) Hazel Hibler, Kolt and Kort Turner, Kyla and Casey Hibler.
