Amelia Stone Brister

Amelia Stone Brister, 83, passed away December 3, 2013 at Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born January  5, 1930 in Richland Springs, Texas. Amelia was the daughter of Dr. Ira O. Stone and Agnes Howarth Chadwick. Millie grew up in San Saba, Texas. She graduated from San Saba High School in 1949. While in high school, Millie was a Candy Striper at San Saba Memorial Hospital. Millie married   Roy David Brister on October 7, 1950. They were married 50 years. After leaving San Saba, she lived in Blum, Odem, and Orange Grove, Texas. She sang in the choir, helped with VBS, and enjoyed the Women’s

Richard Wallis Lines 1, 1927, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Clyde Allison Lines and Maude (Mason) Lines. Richard served from 1945 until 1967 with first the Navy, then the Army, and, ultimately, retired from the Air Force. He served in both World War II and the Korean War. He married Edith Elmore on September 29, 2002, in Richland Springs, Texas. He had lived in Richland Springs for the past 11 years and attended the Richland Springs Baptist Church.

M.J. Wootan was born on July 5, 1925 in Field Creek, Texas and passed with dignity on December 5, 2013. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. M.J. was a purpose driven businessman with
courage and integrity. His active involvement in agribusiness and land development established him as a pioneer in his community. M.J. was instrumental in founding Llano National Bank and served on the Board of  Directors. In 2010 he received the honorary Hall of Fame Award for Llano County. Bryan was born on September 20, 1923, in La Porte, Texas, to  Jennings Bryan Mitchell, Sr., and Bessie Viola (Cline) Mitchell. He served in the US Army  during World War II, and was a part of the battles of Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes and Rhineland, earning a total of 4 Bronze Stars. Mary loved cooking, baking, and gardening, studied art and enjoyed doing pottery. She was a member of Methodist Church, the Eastern Star, and the Lometa Garden Club.
