Petco Foundation invests in lifesaving work of SS County Friends of Animals

San Saba County Friends of Animals (SSCFOA) announced it has been awarded a $2,500 grant from the Petco Foundation to support its spay/neuter, adoption and trap/neuter/return programs.

The Petco Foundation investment will provide funds for SSCFOA's spay/neuter assistance program, which helps San Saba County residents get their family pets altered. It will also help fund a trap/neuter/return program for community cats in San Saba County and assist with getting foster pets ready for adoption.

"We are proud and thankful to have the Petco Foundation's support," said Katherine Beckes, president of SSCFOA. "These programs are vital to helping homeless pets, improving the overall health of animals in San Saba County and reducing the cat and dog overpopulation in our community."
