The Richland Springs Report

By Sue Ransom.

There is no doubt that we have changed seasons. I actually had to drag out a sweat jacket to keep warm. I love sleeping in this kind of weather, but please warm it up during the day. I spent most of the peewee football games on Saturday huddled up on the bench. Once the wind slowed down it wasn’t too bad, but that wind was biting into my bones. Our boys played hard against some tough opponents. The third and forth grade were victorious. It would have been a better win, but one of our players copied what I’m sure he’s seen on TV, but is actually taunting.

Notes from the Spring Creek Arts Guild

My favorite picture of my kids and me, just the other day—14 years ago.
By Cathy Ledbetter

Apparently it slips away in big chunks for me, and I am wondering if that happens to anyone else. The latest realization of this was triggered last night. My son and I settled in to watch a movie, “Trouble with the Curve.” It is a good movie starring Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams. Throughout the movie I was wondering when, exactly, Clint Eastwood got so old and how it happened so suddenly.
