The Bend News

By Jo Price

Some folks received a nice shower or two Saturday, but some of the Bend folks missed out completely. The weather has been warm, but still not too bad out except for the humidity. They are promising more rain for the later part of this week. Maybe folks around the Bend will benefit from it. William and Jane Clark babysit their two grandchildren Jordan and Jaylee Messer while their parents along with some other teachers attended a function in San Antonio this past weekend.

The Richland Springs Report

By Sue Ransom

We’re in a bit of a fluctuating weather pattern right now. I personally am enjoying the break from steamy heat. Saturday and Sunday morning we awakened to 60 degree weather. It didn’t stay cool, but I can stand to start my days in that manner. The rain was hit or miss for the most part. Floyd had about .8 in his gauge, but most others only had .2-.4 inches. Any rain is a blessing and worthy of a quick thank you Lord.
