Peggy Joyce Henniger was surrounded by loved ones when she passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in Pasadena, Texas. Peggy lived a full, rich life of 91 years. A true lady, she loved her family and friends. Her strong will, tough love, and true kindness touched many. She will be forever missed and never forgotten.

Peggy was born in Richland Springs, Texas on May 17, 1928 to Gertrude and Randolph “Buck” Hillin. The oldest of four, she was always the responsible one. Taking care of her family was always a priority. With her quick wit and feisty, yet quiet demeanor, she could set you straight in a minute or surprise you with a zinger you wouldn’t soon forget!

She married her soulmate and lifelong partner, Calvin, in April,1951. Together they embarked on many adventures spanning almost seven decades, traveling and raising a loving family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Calvin Richard Henniger of Pasadena, and two children: Holly and Randy Key of Pecos, Texas and Kelly Henniger of Pasadena, Texas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Peggy is also survived by two sisters, Vaughdean Letbetter of Pasadena, Texas, and Belva Lott of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Mack Owen Hillin.

The entire family thanks everyone for their love and support, as we celebrate the life of an extraordinary woman. Visitation was held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at Blaylock Funeral Chapel in San Saba, Texas. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 am at the First Christian Church of Richland Springs, Texas, with interment following at Richland Springs cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Christian Church Richland Springs, Texas.

Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba was in charge of funeral service arrangements.
