Samuel Harold Jones Jr., 73, passed on January 17, 2020.

Samuel was born on July 1, 1946 to loving parents, Teanie Vera and Samuel Harold Jones and is survived by his beloved wife, Laura Jones Lemmer; sister, Bonnye Jones; brother, Donald W. Jones; niece, Margot Jones; nephew, Jeffrey Todd Bingham with wife, Joni Sue Bingham; and great-nieces: Nikolette Carys Bingham and Bianca Nerys Bingham. He will be dearly missed by his longterm executive assistant and friend, Connie Carpenter.

He was asked to become a consultant to CEOs in the Austin market. He formed Executive Growth and as a part of that effort, became a Chair for Vistage International and established the first group in Austin, Texas. Mr. Jones has received two Vistage Chair Excellence Awards. Samuel H. Jones Jr.’s activities included:

• Owner,, a consulting firm for small and mid-size firms with growth expectations and a dream to develop into leaders in their industry

• Mentoring other chairs of Vistage International

• Former Owner, Quietare Ranch, a 185-acre cattle and hunting ranch located in San Saba County, Texas

• Civic and church volunteer work

• Founder and Owner of Worldwide Container Services, a service and manufacturing firm that was in support of the aviation industry. From a modest 4 person firm, he built it to 165 employees in 6 states and doing business in 6 countries.

• He was the first commission-paid sales representative in the airline business and was head of Cargo for Texas International with overall multimillion dollar responsibilities for revenue, new product development and international expansion.

• His business career began in the management program for Sears and Roebuck at the age of 21 years Past Advisory Board Positions:

• Chairman – Air Cargo Association Board, National
