San Saba County Chamber of Commerce announces the 2020 "Young Civic Leadership Scholarship"

The “Young Civic Leadership Scholarship” seeks to give financial assistance in the amount of $1,500.00 to a student who plans to enter a related profession with an interest in civic leadership during their first semester in college. The scholarship is for a 2020 senior graduate of a San Saba County high school: Cherokee, Richland Springs or San Saba High Schools.

The Scholarship is available to both male and female graduates who are residents of San Saba County at the time of their scholarship application, as well as the time of their high school graduation. Eligible applicants must be free of the abuse of intoxicating beverages and illegal substances.

In addition to the above, a 3.0 GPA is required for scholarship applicants. Also, the scholarship recipient must take 12 hours of study during the semester the scholarship is awarded. Once proof of the recipient’s enrollment is verified, scholarship monies will be made payable to the college or university.
