Ruth Amelia (Hummel) Lewis, 82, of Richland Springs, Texas, went to her Heavenly Home on Friday, January 3, 2020 in Brownwood, Texas. Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in San Saba. Graveside Service were held on Monday, January 6th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Richland Springs Cemetery in Richland Springs.

Ruth Amelia (Hummel) Lewis was born on June 10, 1937 in Foster, Texas to Henry John and Susie Faye (Miller) Hummel. She lived in San Saba County for 60+ years.

Ruth married Richard Glen "Punk" Lewis on June 1, 1955 in Katy, Texas. She loved being with her family and friends, and helping at the school. Ruth was an excellent seamstress and loved playing softball. Ruth was Fort Bend County Rodeo Queen. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Richland Springs Preservation Society.

Ruth is survived by two sons: Henry L. Lewis and wife, Cheryl, of Goldthwaite, and Todd M. Lewis and wife, Lynette, of Brownwood; one daughter, Becky R. Moore and husband, Bobby, of Brady; nine grandchildren: Joe Bob Moore, Terry Moore, Amy Beattie, Bonnie Lewis, Alyssa Lewis, Ryan Lewis, Jacklyn Lewis, Hayley Hamilton and McKinzie Hamilton; eight great-grandchildren: Tanner Moore, Ethan Moore, Allison Beattie, Haden Moore, Emily Beattie, Tori Moore, Jackson Beattie and Kalan Moore; and one great-greatgrandchild, Harley Day.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, husband - Richard Glen "Punk" Lewis, and seven brothers and sisters.

Honorary Pallbearers are her grandchildren.
