News From Cherokee ISD

It was a good week for Cherokee football. The junior high and high school teams both traveled to Panther Creek Friday night to play their last games of the season.

The junior high team scored big and the game was called in the 4th quarter due to the 45-point rule. The final score was 60-12 in favor of the Indians.

The varsity team played well too. The first touchdown of the game was from Jesse Sterling and the PAT kick by Joey Bond was good. Bond scored the next touchdown with Tristian Arkansas scoring quickly after. Weston Stiefel and Stephen Wysong scored touchdowns as well. Arkansas scored the game-winning touchdown and the game was called at the half with Cherokee shutting out the opposing team. The final score was 47-0. What a way to end the season!
