Afternoon Session

At the afternoon session the defense called Jim Locker, who testified he remembered the day Mr. Turner was killed. The day he met Kimmons and went with him horse hunting. It was early in the morning, and they went by Ford’s home and saw Ford on the gallery reading a newspaper.

The sun was about an hour high. When within about 800 yards of Mr. Ford’s they heard guns fire east of them.

At Ford’s they saw Mr. Ford’s sons, Jim and George. That evening he heard that Turner had been killed.
