Ramona Martinez Cisneroz born on August 31, 1926 was the eighth child of Pilar and Julia Martinez in Big Valley, Texas. She married Balentin Cisneroz on September 29, 1950 in San Saba, Texas. She was a wonderful mother, wife, and friend. Ramona (Mamaw) peacefully passed away surrounded by family in her home on October 6, 2019 at 3:35 pm. She attended Big Valley School until the 5th grade and was always a hardworking young lady. She worked side by side with her family in farming and ranching. She loved to ride horse back on her favorite horse, Red. And, from this strong heritage grew her love of gardening and planting beautiful plants. Ramona enjoyed her many places of employment which included an egg farm in San Saba County, San Saba Headstart, San Saba Hill Country, San Saba Nursing Home, San Saba ISD Bus Driver, and Alamo Pecan and Coffee; all this while raising and tending her 9 children and many adopted children and friends. If Ramona loved and knew you there was no stronger force of love and protection. Ramona enjoyed all sports, but especially the Dallas Cowboys and the San Saba Armadillos. She was a familiar face at any local sporting event, and nothing meant more than supporting and cheering on her teams. All the family knew- if Mamaw was missing; she was at a sporting event or watching her “Boys” – and nothing interrupted that. We always knew that there were 3 things that you didn’t talk ugly about to Mamaw…. 1. Her God and Faith, 2. Her Grandkids – (you could talk about her kids), and 3. Her Dallas Cowboys – those topics were off limits unless you had something good to say.

She is survived by her sons: Louis Cisneroz and wife Rosemary Cisneroz of San Saba and Moses Cisneroz of Brownwood.
