Nancy Goss passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at the age of

84. Nancy was born on December 5, 1934 in Llano, TX to Preston and Virginia Robinson.

She graduated from San Saba High School and then enrolled in Trinity College in San Antonio. While there, she fell in love with Bernard Goss and they were married when he was 20 and she was

19. Two days after the marriage, he was transferred to Korea where he served our nation for two years.

Upon his return, he completed his degree and Nancy started teaching elementary school. After completing her master’s degree in education, Nancy taught for many years and retired from Austin Public School after her mother became ill.

Nancy and Bernard moved to San Saba to care for her mother. Nancy was active in the First Presbyterian Church in San Saba where she made many friends. She was a faithful member of the Fellowship of Christian Women. Nancy was a Master Gardener and grew a beautiful garden at her home in San Saba and was a member of the San Saba Garden Club. She was always willing to share her plants and cuttings with any who was willing to take any.

Nancy was also accomplished at quilting and started the Sew-n- Sews quilting club with Sharon Hayes and Jo Ann Hardy. Nancy met everyone with a hug and a huge smile. Being kind and cheerful, she was one of God’s true saints. Nancy will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her cousin, Roy Robinson and wife, Dorothy, of Keene, Texas, and was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Goss, and her parents.

Services were conducted by Heritage Funeral Home.
