Ashlynn Cash, who has proven herself as both a hurdler and relay runner at San Saba High School, recently signed a letter of intent to compete in track and field at Tarleton State University. “I’ve enjoyed high school very much, but I’m very excited for this new chapter to take my running to another level,” said Cash. Tarleton, which is located in Stephenville, Texas, is a NCAA Division II school and competes in the Lone Star Conference. At SSHS, Cash has been to the AA-Region IV meet three times and looking to go again this year. She was the 2A Bronze Medalist last year at the State Meet with a time of 46.62, setting the new San Saba school record. She was also a part of the school's first relay team to make it the state track meet. Ashlynn currently holds the San Saba High School 300m Hurdle record, and with her teammates, the 4x200 relay and 4x400 relay records.
