San Saba Food Bank volunteers treated to spaghetti lunch

The volunteers of the San Saba Food Bank were treated to a spaghetti lunch in appreciation of their work distributing food to the residents of San Saba and surrounding counties. Carol Littlefield, Volunteer Coordinator for the local body, made sure that there was plenty of spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and desserts for all that attended. The food was prepared and served by the Thinking Of You group of First United Methodist Church San Saba.

The local Food Bank is sponsored by First United Methodist Church of San Saba and relies on volunteers from that church, as well as the Bend/Lometa United Methodist Church and others in the community. Some of our City employees were invited to join the luncheon for their willingness to step in and assist with food distribution this summer when the Civic Center was not available.
