Armadillos pull away from Eagles

The San Saba Armadillos took the field Friday night looking to improve to 8-0 on the season, 3-0 in District play and clinch a playoff spot. The Armadillos got off to a little bit of a slow start after taking a 7-0 falling behind 10-7 in the 1st quarter. This was the 2nd time the team has trailed this season in a game and showed great poise by playing sound defense and explosive offense to earn a 56-13 victory.

The defense played bend but don’t break defense after giving up an early touchdown. The Armadillos ended giving up 221 yards of total offense with 41 coming on the ground and 180 through the air. The Valley Mills quarterback was under heavy pressure all night from the Dillo defense led by Joseph Watson, Clayton Pierce, Risien Shahan, and Daniel Herrera.
