Purple and Gold Dillos pluck Johnson City Eagles 48-2

The San Saba Purple Team and Gold Team combined this week to destroy the Johnson City 8th Grade Eagles by a score of 48-2 in Johnson City this past Thursday evening. It was total domination by the Dillos.

San Saba kicked to Johnson City to begin the game. Big defensive plays by Mark Maxcey and Rene Guerrero pinned the Eagles deep in their own end of the field. Johnson City punted; it was very short and San Saba took over on the Eagle 20. Maxcey ran for 7. Maxcey reversed field the next play and scored from 13 yards. Tegen Saiz ran in the P.A.T. 8-0 Dillos. Jesus Betancourt, Aiden Martinez, Christian Ramirez, Daylon Smith, Dillon Ware, Ivan Canedo, Brenden McCall and Hayden Reeves paved the way.

San Saba kicked to the Eagles. After two plays, Jesus Betancourt caused a fumble recovered by Tegen Saiz. Saiz ran for 5. Mark Maxcey found pay dirt on a 30-yard run. A pass from Saiz to Tyler Johnson got 2 points. 16-0 Dillos.
