I don’t know what it is about simultaneously watching a rain shower at the same time as the sun is shining, but it just makes my heart happy. It shouldn’t, because I know that means the rain that we need so desperately is going to stop. Still, watching the rain this morning with the sun making each drop sparkle was a joyous way to start the day.

My son will be home from his year-long deployment in 16 days and school will be out in about 12. This week is jam packed with activities. Tuesday, the top seven readers will head out with Mrs. Gossett to Prime Time for a day of fun filled activities. While they are out, we will be having our volcano day at 2:30 in the afternoon. Wednesday is the AR skate party for all students who have met their goals throughout the year. Wednesday afternoon, we have to set up for the science fair. It will be held at 8:00 a.m. in the morning. This will be a first for us, but awards will be given out at 9:30 a.m. and we were out of time slots.
