The Richland Springs Report

The final push is here, and the teachers and students are trying to get it all done. I have students in my classroom constantly working to finish their science fair projects. I don’t know what I will do next year because I will only have one classroom from which to teach. It has been convenient for all the teachers to send students with extra work to the vacant classroom. We will be getting a new teacher and that person will be using my classroom. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. The extra teaching time will more than make up for the loss of a room.

The alumni banquet was an overwhelming success. There were many more people than last year and more classes represented, even if they only brought a few people. It is an outstanding event. I hope those classes that don’t participate come to one and see, especially as we get a little older, it brings back memories of younger days. Some may be good; others not so much. Time does heal many little grievances. Besides, we teachers like to see how you have turned out. I love to see all the faces that weren’t a part of my history here in Richland.
