For the fourth straight year, the Lady Dillos got to end their season on the biggest stage for high school track and field; the State Meet in Austin. The Lady Dillos sent six athletes to the State meet in seven events; the most ever for our program.

To start the meet, Analyn Bohensky competed in the 2A Pole Vault. This was Analyn’s fourth straight appearance and she was determined to jump her personal best. Analyn did just that. She cleared 12’0”, a personal record, and the same height as the State Champion but the places came down to misses. Analyn placed 4th but it was certainly a special day and a tremendous effort!

The next day, Kaleigh Ellis would get the day started for the Lady Dillos as she ran the 3200 meter run that morning. This was Kaleigh’s third straight appearance at State and she ran a strong race in a field with tough competition. Kaleigh finished 5th place in the 2A 3200 meter run!

The evening session began at 5:00 and Brighton Adams shocked the field with her 800-meter performance. Brighton knocked off seven seconds from her Regional time to earn the Bronze medal in the 2A 800 meter run!
