A Busy End of the Year

May Day, Tuesday, May 1st, was the last official San Saba Garden Club meeting for the 2017-2018 year, but not the last activity for the current year. Hostesses, Becky Whitley, Beth Griess, Leanne Pollock, Gail Bruner, Nancy Van Etten and President Dianna Furlan welcomed members and club guests to hear Marlene Gillman of Killeen, Texas, and the Temple Garden Club present interesting information on "Pollinators and Welcoming them into Our Gardens."

Ms. Gillman explained that the three most popular, beautiful, and needed pollinators are hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. All three are always welcome but can be threatened as in the case of butterflies and bees.
