Man sentenced to fifteen years for Organized Retail Theft

On February 1, 2016, a Burnet County jury convicted Matthew Wayne Manning of Organized Retail Theft and assessed his punishment at 15 years in prison with a $10,000 fine. Judge J. Allan Garrett of the 33rd Judicial District Court sentenced Manning in accordance with the jury’s verdict. Manning was charged for stealing multiple necklaces from a glass case display at Walmart. Altogether, the necklaces were valued at $1,662.00.
