Nellie Bell “Jackie” Johnson, 86, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 in Llano, Texas. Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in San Saba. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. at Chappel Cemetery in San Saba, Texas, Bro. Barry Fikes officiating. Jackie was born on August 21, 1928 to Raymond and Dixie Jackson in San Saba, Texas. She spent most of her life in
San Saba. On April 30, 1969, she married Robert Johnson in El Paso, Texas. She found great enjoyment in being a homemaker and she loved to cook. Robert and Jackie enjoyed traveling when they could. She loved gardening, bird watching, country and western music and she especially loved her cats and dogs. Jackie is survived by her husband, Robert, of 45 years; two daughters, Catherine Sutfin of Rio Dell, CA and Mona Felts and her husband, Ralf Zimmermann, of New York, NY; two grandchildren, Glen Brown of Napa, CA. and Lynnlee Felts of Lake Jackson, Texas; two great-grandchildren, two nephews and three nieces. Jackie’s two daughters and a son, now deceased, were from her first marriage to Raymond Felts of Cherokee, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Paul and George Jackson. Family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
