John Robert Wilton of Richland Springs, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 1, 2014. Services were held on Saturday December 6, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. John was born to Will and Edna Wilton on May 10, 1929 in Richland Springs, Texas. He graduated from South West Texas State and served in the Armed Forces, being stationed in Germany during the Korean War. After returning home, John received his masters in Biology  from Trinity University. John married Lonette Taff on June 2, 1956 in Brady, Texas. After teaching and coaching for many years in Bandera, Texas, he and Lonette retired and farmed in Richland Springs. John had a passion for teaching and coaching, a kind heart and always loved helping kids in need. He loved to go dancing and enjoyed life. He is survived by two daughters, Laura Annette Wilton and husband, Jamie Castillo, of San Antonio,  Texas and Michelle Forgacic and fiance’, Joe Ferraioli, of King of Prussia, Penn; one son, Russell Wells and wife, Shaylyn, of Bandera, Texas; two grandsons, Zachary Wilton and Joshua Wilton of San Antonio; one sister,  Leoma Yates aand numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother and seven sisters. Services provided under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, heritagefuneralsansaba@gmail.com ,with Bro. Barry Fikes officiating. The family requests that memorials be made to Richland Springs Booster Club c/o Jason Lewis, P.O. Box 355, Richland Springs, Tx 78671.
